The Full Story

of Ashtanga Yoga Path

"Traditional Ashtanga Yoga has changed my life physically and mentally. It leads me towards a better awareness of my material (all things you can see) and spiritual journey. This practice has taught me so many things such as discipline, dedication, hardwork, ego, emotion, awareness and many more. All the series are such amazing practice but yet challenging to cope. I just want to share my journey in this practice as I want you to try yourself. It might works, It might not.  It's a moving meditation practice that taught me how i face the challenges in my life" -Nicholas-

My Story

I began my yoga practice not with Ashtanga, some random yoga styles that fit my time. I started my first Ashtanga Practice in 2020 such a coincident while the other Yoga class was full. I went into a LED Ashtanga Half Primary Series and I surprised that the pace is very fast yet so many āsana (poses) i couldn't do. But there's one thing I like for the first time the SWEAT. Then i from there I decided to try Mysore class from 2021 onwards.

I can't believe that I will fall in love with this practice a lot. There are so much sacrifices i have done physically, mentally and of course materially yet I still keep practicing till this day.

Traditional Mysore Style is the key of Ashtanga Practice. In Mysore City - South India, we practice 6 days a week with a day of rest.

The Guru

"Guru" the word guru comes from two Sanskrit words, Gu meaning darkness and Ru means dispeller or remover. Therefore the literal meaning of the word Guru is „the one who dispels darkness“

In Ashtanga Yoga we respect our parampara (lineage) of how this practice comes from and evolve from the right source and delivered to the student.
